We are pleased to share that iN2L has been recognized in a recent study released by the Dementia Care and Rehabilitation Centers of Excellence of Presbyterian SeniorCare Network.
The study, published online in the peer-reviewed journal Aging & Mental Health, sought to determine whether using iN2L in rehabilitation therapy would enhance engagement and functional outcomes for persons living with dementia. Overseen by renowned gerontology expert, Steven H. Zarit, PhD., researchers found that persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias can achieve positive outcomes through rehabilitation therapies that utilize iN2L’s interactive technology platform.
Despite cognitive challenges, research shows that persons living with dementia may benefit from a rehabilitation program that builds strength, mobility, balance, and other functional abilities. Better functioning helps to reinvigorate engagement and improve the quality of life. This study underscores the benefits of incorporating technology such as iN2L to enhance and improve outcomes for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
